SMRP Affiliated
Chapters
SMRP began opening affiliated local chapters in 2006 after
many volunteers started discussing the value they’d
receive from networking and learning with other Maintenance
& Reliability (M&R) Professionals regularly.
The chapters provide locally-based, low cost education
and career development services for M & R Professionals
at every point in their career. Chapters also serve to make
education, networking, and career development available,
while providing an avenue to build leadership skills for
early and mid career professionals.
Look for a Chapter
If you’d like to join a chapter, or want to know what
services a particular chapter offers, please look up your
state in the directory.
Start a Chapter
If a chapter's information is unavailable, the chapter may
be forming or we may not have a chapter in your area yet.

Managing a Chapter
Whether your chapter is 20 members or 200 members, we have
compiled templates, tools, and information to help you lead
your chapter successfully. Visit our Chapter
Resource Central for the tools you need to manage your
chapter.
Special Interest
Groups (SIGs)
The SMRP leadership has taken initiative to open Special
Interest Groups. SIGs are groups of Maintenance & Reliability
Professionals that share interest in a specific type of
manufacturing and want to meet, network, and learn from
each other. Examples are members that work in Petroleum
Chemical, or Food Processing, or Automobile Plants. A group
of SMRP members and volunteers has formed the Petro Oil
Gas SIG in 2008 which will be the pilot for future SIG's.
By the beginning of 2009, look for a SIG in these special
interests:
Chemical
Consultant
Energy
Electronics/Instruments
Fabricated Metal
Food and Kindred Products
Industrial Commercial Machinery
Mining
Pharmaceuticals
Primary Metals
Transportation
