Track 2: Equipment Reliability

All track sessions are included with registration.

Wednesday, June 26

9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Real World PdM Case Studies Using the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence

Craig Truempi, CMRP, Atek Companies
Audience Level: Advanced

This session will share case studies of predictive monitoring for rotating equipment and will discuss lessons learned so others can avoid the same mistakes. The 7 links in value chain of PdM will be the framework for the discussion and include: Source, Connect, Collect, Analyze, Do, Check, and Adjust.

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Achieving Future Cognitive Asset Intelligence Through Simplified Asset Management

Scott Stukel, CMRP, Total Resource Management
Audience Level: Intermediate

Assets of the future will monitor themselves, make adjustments, and ask for help when they need it. How can you make this happen? The key is to understand what the Intelligent Asset looks like and what it can do to support your mission. Secondarily, success with smart assets relies heavily on simplifying the approach to asset and work management, and making sure you have the foundational blocks in place.

1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Reliability Enhancement of Plant Air Compressor at Qurayyah Seawater Plant

Sharib Khan, CMRP, Saudi Aramco
Audience Level: Intermediate

Plant air compressors are crucial for Seawater Treatment & Injection plants as instrument air is required for the pneumatic control of multiple valves. Frequent failures in the past have resulted in very low mean time between failure (MTBF). Enhancing the preventitive maintenance (PM) and clubbing with turnaround and inspection (T&I) programs have resulted in increasing the MTBF of air compressors to more than five years.

2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Asset Hierarchy and the Link to Reliability Improvements

James Kovacevic, CMRP, Eruditio LLC
Audience Level: Intermediate

The asset hierarchy is often thought of as just a way to organize assets, so they are easy to find in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). While a well-structured asset hierarchy does make work management easier, it is much more than that. Without a proper asset hierarchy, any organization will struggle to get meaningful and actionable data from their CMMS to drive reliability.
