ATLANTA, GA (April 24, 2017) – The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) is now accepting nominations for its CMRP of the Year and Volunteer of the Year award programs. These awards recognize CMRP-certified individuals and SMRP members for their contributions to the society as well as the maintenance, reliability and physical asset management profession.
Since 2013, SMRP and the SMRP Certifying Organization (SMRPCO) have recognized two individuals each year for their outstanding work as CMRP-certified practitioners. The CMRP of the Year Rising Leader award recognizes an individual with less than 10 years of professional experience. The CMRP of the Year Veteran Professional award recognizes someone with over 10 years of experience working in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management. Winners receive a stipend to attend the 25th SMRP Annual Conference where they are honored during the closing ceremonies.
Now in its second year, the Volunteer of the Year award honors a single SMRP member for volunteering their time and expertise to help SMRP grow and offer programs, presentations and opportunities for other members to learn and grow professionally. This member shows a commitment to not only bettering themselves but also other colleagues and SMRP members.

Nominations for each of the awards will be accepted until July 21, 2017.
