SMRP Names Erin Erickson as New Executive Director

ATLANTA, GA, (Dec. 7, 2015) The Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) has named Erin Erickson as its new executive director, effective immediately. Ms. Erickson will be responsible for developing and driving the society’s strategic growth and representing the society before affiliated professional organizations and other third parties.

Ms. Erickson has more than 10 years of experience working with trade organizations and professional societies. She joined SMRP’s management team in 2014 and has served as the associate director, managing membership services, various programs, chapters and SMRP’s Shared Interest Groups.

“Erin’s time with SMRP has been characterized by positive growth and a meaningful impact within the society and the industry,” said Bob Kazar, SMRP Chair. “As the associate director, she was instrumental in maintaining and growing our membership, along with ensuring our society offers industry-leading educational resources. We’re thrilled to name her to this position and look forward to further cementing SMRP’s reputation as the leading organization within the maintenance, reliability and physical asset management industry.”

Ms. Erickson served has served as executive director for several professional associations, including the National Society for Professional Engineers in Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in communications, and is a current member of the Colorado Society of Association Executives.
