(Atlanta, GA) April 4, 2016 – The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals Certifying Organization (SMRPCO) is excited to announce a partnership with the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) to further its certification offerings. The Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) exam is now offered by SMRPCO for maintenance, reliability and physical asset management practitioners in the U.S. It joins the Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) certifications currently offered by SMRPCO.
The CAMA certification tests the knowledge of professionals with experience in specific industries and asset classes. It is a 110-question multiple choice exam and is based on the ISO 55001 Auditor Assessor Specification (ISBN978 0 9871799 3 7). The certificate is valid for three years and can be renewed by earning Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points over the three-year period.
“It’s always been the goal of SMRPCO to provide the best educational tools and credentials for SMRP members and practitioners,” said Joe Grande, SMRPCO Chair. “With the inclusion of the CAMA certification, we continue to offer industry-leading certifications that help individuals understand the total lifecycle of a physical asset.”
Current SMRPCO Proctors can apply to become WPiAM-approved proctors via an online application that will be reviewed by SMRPCO and WPiAM. Upon approval, proctors will participate in an online meeting to familiarize themselves with proctoring procedures.
