Proctor Approval Process

In order to become a SMRPCO Approved Proctor, applicants must fill out the Approved Proctor Application. All applications are reviewed by SMRPCO and will be subject to pre-approval. 

If applicant is affiliated with a U.S.-based university, technical or community college, they must:

  • Complete the 'Become an Approved Proctor' form below
  • Complete an online Proctor Training Webinar hosted by the SMRPCO Office
  • Wait to receive official letter of approval
  • Schedule exam sessions online via the Approved Proctor Exam Scheduling Form. Note: An exam session must be submitted two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled exam date for US proctors and four (4) weeks prior to the scheduled exam date for international proctors. 

If applicant is NOT affiliated with a university, technical or community college, they must: 

  • Coordinate a “shadow” with a SMRPCO approved proctor
  • Submit Proctor Trainee Approval Form upon completion of shadowing
  • Wait to receive official letter of approval
  • Schedule exam sessions online via the Approved Proctor Exam Scheduling Form. Note: An exam session must be submitted two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled exam date for US proctors and four (4) weeks prior to the scheduled exam date for international proctors
