Workshop – Condition Based Monitoring Survey & Benchmarking
Facilitated by Jay Kriner, CMRP

You spoke, we listened - Our chapter membership has expressed a lot of interest in benchmarking best practices to understand how their facility and customers stack up. We all want to get better.  We are embarking on an effort to understand how condition based technologies are being utilized.  The information will be used to create a member survey, develop relevant benchmarks for various facets of CBM, and structure a learning event at our Fall meeting that best addresses our members interests and challenges.

2:00 – 4:00

Ellwood Mill Products Tour- Tour attendees will visit Ellwood Quality Steel, Ellwood Mill Products, and North American Forgemasters, and can expect to see melting, refining, casting of ingots, open-die forging, a heat treating operation, rough machining of open-die forgings, and nondestructive testing and extracting of destructive tests samples.

PPE will be provided, please wear sturdy closed toe footwear.  It is strongly recommended that individuals with pacemakers NOT attend the plant tours as strong magnetic fields generated by lifting magnets, electric melting, and induction stirring equipment can interfere with a pacemaker’s performance.

4:00 – 5:00
