Previous Chapter Events

On Thursday, November 9th, 2017, Swagelok South Carolina generously hosted an informative lunch and learn for the SMRP Carolinas Chapter. The event included a presentation overviewing Swagelok South Carolina's products and services as well as a tour of the facility.

On Thursday, March 30, 2017 the Carolinas Chapter of SMRP was welcomed by Boeing’s North Charleston aircraft assembly facility for a presentation and plant tour.  With 37 people in attendance from maintenance & reliability professionals from South and North Carolina, all those in attendance were impressed with the aircraft assembly process and the final product that Boeing produces at this site, The Boeing 787.  After the tour, an excellent lunch was enjoyed at Jim ‘N Nicks BBQ.

The 2017 Carolinas Chapter of SMRP Annual Meeting saw a record number of attendees and sponsors.  Doc Palmer’s presentation on applying Demming principles to planning & scheduling was very well received and set the tone for the rest of the day’s presentations.  All of the attendees enjoyed a day of networking with the industry partners and learning from each other, in the awesome setting of The Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway with access to the boxed seating areas of the speedway, and many stayed for the optional “Over The Wall” tour of Charlotte Motor Speedway, ZMax Racing Dragway, and dirt track venues.  The Carolinas Chapter Board would like to thank all of those who attended, and we’re already looking ahead for future events.
