23nd Annual Conference Expected to Bring Over 1,000 Maintenance and Reliability Professionals

ATLANTA, GA. (August 12, 2015) The Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) is gearing up for its 23rd Annual Conference. This year, Cincinnati, Ohio has the pleasure of hosting the event, which is taking place from October 12 to 15. The conference provides a unique opportunity for professionals, technicians, educators and executives to come together to educate, equip and excel in the maintenance and reliability profession.

"The Annual Conference is a unique opportunity to learn from the best in the industry through hands-on workshops as well as a chance to meet outstanding professionals and organizations in many different industries," said Christopher Mears, SMRP 2015 Annual Conference Chair. "I hope everyone who comes takes full advantage of all that this year’s conference has to offer."

With 54 track sessions and 23 workshops on business & management, manufacturing process reliability, equipment reliability, organization & leadership, work management and physical asset management, the SMRP 2015 Annual Conference is expected to bring over 1,000 practitioners in over 30 industries including manufacturing and production; pharmaceutical and biotech; oil, gas and petrochemical; reliability analytics; mining; and more.

Kicking off this year's conference is Cam Marston, the leading expert on the impact of generational change and its impact on the marketplace. His keynote, "Four Generations: One Workplace", will look at what employers and managers need to understand about each generation and the differences between the current working generations so they can work best with each other.

Ricky Smith, CMRP, CMRT, CRL, has over 30 years’ experience in manufacturing, facilities, mining and military organizations. His closing keynote, “Maintenance Leadership – Proven Leadership Concepts Made Simple”, will look at best practices related to maintenance and reliability.

“We are excited about the learning opportunity for attendees from these two presentations. Our hope is individuals will walk away with the knowledge to be stronger managers and leaders with ultimate goal of helping their organization excel,” said Mears.

The SMRP Annual Conference also features facility tours of Kings Island, FANUC Robotics, MillerCoors Trenton Brewery, Mill Creek Treatment Plant and Great American Ball Park.
