2018 SMRP Symposium Features Operations Executive Keynote

ATLANTA, GA (January 22, 2018) – Registration is now open for the second annual Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) Symposium, which features a keynote address from John Smith, SVP of Operations at FedEx Freight. The event takes place from June 6-7, 2018, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Smith’s keynote presentation addresses how to empower supervisors to reinforce a culture of safety, reliability and collective responsibility in the workplace. He brings over 30 years of experience to FedEx Freight’s operations and fleet maintenance organizations, which includes management of nearly 40,000 team members and roughly 350 service centers. Memphis is home to FedEx Freight’s global headquarters.

“We’re thrilled to build off of the inaugural SMRP Symposium’s success by having John speak in Memphis,” said SMRP Executive Director Erin Erickson. “His expertise and commitment to quality, safety and reliability will resonate with everyone in attendance.”

In its second year, the SMRP Symposium will attract over 100 maintenance, reliability and physical asset management practitioners and professionals for two days of learning, networking and certification opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to sit through workshops and learn about maintenance practices at local facilities and businesses in the Memphis area.

Early bird registration is open now until April 25, 2018, but attendees are able to register until the first day of the event. For more information on registration, workshops and other scheduled activities, visit the Symposium webpage.
