Nomination Process & Qualifications

Nomination Process

Both self-nominations and colleague nominations are accepted. If you are nominating a colleague, please be sure to notify them as you’re filling out the nomination form and submitting it. We encourage you to work with the nominee to complete the nomination. Incomplete nomination forms will not be considered. Previous winners are not eligible to apply.

Awards Criteria


Required

Nominees must hold a current CMRP certification. If the nominee’s certification is set to expire, he/she must indicate their intentions to recertify. Nominees must also be an SMRP member in good standing. 

Nominees are required to submit a brief explanation of the positive impact their professional accomplishments have made for employers/customers/clients. (Recommended 200-300 words)

Recommended

Nominees should have demonstrated leadership in their career. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Notable employment positions held
  • Volunteer leadership positions held in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management organizations
  • Knowledge sharing with peers (published articles, presentations given, etc.)
  • Professional awards earned.

Nominees will also be judged on their commitment to continuing education in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management through earned certifications, degrees, etc.
