2024 Spring Hill Day
Join SMRP in Washington, D.C., for our upcoming Spring Hill Day! This event is a unique opportunity for volunteer advocates to navigate the halls of the United States Capitol building and meet with legislators and their staff. These meetings aim to enhance SMRP’s presence on Capitol Hill and promote the critical goals of workforce development, safety, and investment in reliability planning for our nation’s essential infrastructure. SMRP has reserved a block of discounted hotel rooms at the Hotel AKA in Alexandria, VA. We will host a group dinner on the evening before the event and encourage our members to join us in advocating for our industry! - 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Shuttle to the Hill
- 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM ET: Meetings on the Hill
- 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM ET: Lunch
- 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM ET: Afternoon Meetings
Teams of volunteer advocates will have the opportunity to take a lunch break in the Capitol Café during breaks in their meeting schedules.
