Upcoming Events

Spring Meeting: Thursday, April 4, 2019 1-3 PM

Come tour the Polaris Industries facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This produces the Ranger ATV and Slingshot. The Alabama operation handles vehicles assembly, chassis and body painting, welding, fabrication and injection modeling. In addition, to a multi-shift manufacturing hub, the campus has a research and development (R&D) center and distribution warehouse. We will be able to network and ask questions throughout the tour to maintenance personnel.

This is a free event. Entry requirements include: No shorts, skirts or tank tops. No open toed or high heeled shoes.

Summer Meeting: Thursday, May 16, 2019 9AM-3:30PM

The Alabama Chapter is excited to hold its first meeting in South Alabama at the AM/NS facility in Calvert, AL. We will be holding a full day of meeting with three excellent presentations including, Drone Inspection, Asset Management, and World Class Manufacturing. Following the presentation, AM/NS is providing a tour of the Hot Mill, Cold Mill and Finishing areas. We will also have a Q&A session with their maintenance group to wrap up the afternoon. 

This event is free. Entry Requirements: no shorts, skirts or tank tops. No open toed or high heeled shoes.

Past Events

The Alabama Chapter had their last chapter event of 2018 in November, at Straight to Ale in Huntsville. They heard from two practioners on their experience in the industry, more specifically with reliability improvements and reliability centered maintenance.
