Legacy of Excellence Scholarship 

Tyler Kleinsasser, South Dakota School of Mines
Industrial Engineering - Engineering Management

 

 

 

Tyler Kleinsasser is a graduate student at the SD School of Mines in Rapid City, SD. At school, he has been involved in academics, honor societies, and volunteer organizations. His goals include graduating with a 4.0 GPA and then continuing his lifelong learning and advancing throughout his career. He enjoys outdoor activities, solving Rubik's Cubes, and hanging out with friends.

Anthony Tom, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Nuclear Engineering

 

I study nuclear engineering at the University of Tennessee with a minor in reliability and maintainability engineering. I do undergraduate research on fusion materials outside of class and am a member of both Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated and the National Society of Black Engineers. This summer I completed an internship with Dominion Energy at the Surry Nuclear Power Station.

Isabella Gayoso, Pennsylvania State University
Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering

 

 

Isabella is a junior in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with minors in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and IST for Aerospace Engineers. She has interned in the past as a Process Quality Engineer at Brentwood Industries, a Build Reliability Engineer at SpaceX, and Propulsion Engineering Intern at Lockheed Martin. She is passionate about increasing reliability in Aerospace and empowering Women in engineering.

Jospeh Stokes, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
BAS Mechatronics Engineering Technology

 

Joseph Stokes is a maintenance and training professional with more than 20 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing maintenance in positions ranging from industrial electrician to maintenance manager. Currently, Joseph is expending his training and education experience in his final semester at the University of Tennessee/ Chattanooga where he will earn a BAS in Mechatronics this fall. He will then continue his professional career in reliability.


Kang Lin, University of Houston
Industrial Engineering - Reliability and Maintenance Focus

 

I'm Kang Lin, and I'm going to be an incoming freshman at University of Houston this fall. I'm going to be majoring in Industrial engineering with a focus on reliability and maintenance. Also being a first generation college student, I plan to use this scholarship to take the financial burden off my parents.
