The Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) program is the leading credentialing program for the knowledge, skills and abilities of maintenance and reliability technicians. The CMRT is 175 multiple choice questions, and examinees have 3 hours to complete the exam.
The English CMRT is now more convenient. The CMRT English exam can be taken at one of many approved computer-based testing (CBT) locations in the United States and internationally.
Once you find a location, complete the online CMRT application. Simply indicate that you will be taking a Computer-Based Exam. After completing the online application and making the payment, an email will be sent within two (2) business days, with a separate log-in, password and instructions to register for the exam location, date and time on the computer-based testing center's website. Once payment has been made, you have six months to take the exam. If the exam is not taken within six months, the application fee is forfeited. If you do not receive an email within 72 hours of scheduling an exam, please contact us.
A report is generated after the last day of each month from the Kryterion website to pull the names of the individuals who took the exam in that month. A result letter is created for each individual and a certificate is created for those who successfully passed the exam. The documents are then uploaded to the individual's Profile under 'My Certification' at www.smrp.org typically by the 15th of the next month and if the individual checked the box to have their name list in the CMRT Directory, it will show at this time. Check the 'Date Results Uploaded for Paper & Computer Exams' tab for the date the documents are uploaded.
