CMRT Registration

The Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) program is the leading credentialing program for the knowledge, skills and abilities of maintenance and reliability technicians. The CMRT is 175 multiple choice questions, and examinees have 3 hours to complete the exam.

Computer-Based Exam

CMRT exams are available at more than 5,500 Pearson VUE testing centers and military bases worldwide. 

Application Instructions

Step 1: Log in or create an account.

  • Members can sign into their accounts.
  • New members will have to create an account as part of this process and then return here to register for an exam. 

Step 2: Complete certification application

Step 3: Submit payment (be sure to select the right payment amount on the dropdown)

Step 4: Once your payment has been received, you will receive a confirmation email from Pearson VUE to schedule your exam online or by calling the Pearson VUE Contact Center. Note, you will not be able to schedule an exam appointment if you have not already registered with SMRP and paid your examination fee.

Step 5: Take the exam at your local Pearson VUE testing center and receive your full detailed score report via your Pearson VUE profile. Full score reports will now be available immediately upon completion of your exam
